It’s grown far from the Ocean and it can feel like the dessert in the torrid summers. We can find that distinct religious feeling of peace, vastness and comfort nonetheless through the vector of Vermentino.
Candied Fennel, white pepper, the dusty road and an appricot that fell from the tree of its own accord.
Flottaison method in Stainless Steel. Farmed by the Chalmers Family and Troy McInnes.

A lone 1-hectare block of Touriga presides over a sea of Shiraz. Grown in the thin, gravelly, quartz-riddled soils of the Pyrenees at 390 meters. Pink Peppercorn, rhubarb and cannabis.

A Thousand Plateaus of Chardonnay
Limestone Coast, South Australia
Grown on a Limestone reef at the bottom of South Australia. Direct pressed and raised in Fibreglass and two sporadically topped old barrels. Chestnut, Citrus pith, crushed seashells and chalk. If you put your ear to it, you can hear the ocean 13 km away. Texture and Electricity.
Grown by the Ellis Family.
Just about no sulphur.

Aesthetic Theory of Chardonnay (et al.)

Chardo, infused with a small quantity of Pinots Noir and Gris from the same address. Picked together and fermented together resulting in red hued wine that feels white. Oysters shells and stewed red fruit. Perhaps smells red and drinks white, but I still maintain its chardonnay.

El Pueblo más feo
2018
Garcibuey was admittedly the least attractive village in the Sierra de Francia. That is, of course until the village decided to challenge that designation by comissioning artists to paint some of its buildings. This may or may not have improved the village’s standing, however the real treasure here is the old of vines of rufete and the colorful people who tend to them. Bush vines of Rufete grown on slate, by my friend Genio 650 meters above the Atlantic.

2018
A unique plot planted in 2004 that contains 54 different known clones of Rufete. A labyrinth of vines planted on terraces of granite where rows of vines suddenly appear between two other rows. A rather annoying vineyard to work but one that produces fine-boned wines. Whole-bunch rufete grown on granitic sands at 650 meters above the beach.
